We are looking for a Work Measurement Analyst to be part of the Workforce Management team within the HR department, delivering accurate, robust measurement timings for in‑store processes.

Location: Chester, Deeside.

Key Responsibilities

Planning the Measurements

  • Work closely with the team and central stakeholders to define measurement requirements
  • Create the plan and select the most appropriate work measurement methodology for each activity
  • Observe, review, and document in‑store processes to fully understand the end‑to‑end task and capture all variables

Completing the Measurements

  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure objectives and methodologies are clearly understood
  • Carry out in‑store measurements using appropriate techniques (e.g., work study methods, activity sampling, video-based analysis)
  • Produce Labour Standards and calculate Basic Minute Values (BMVs) for defined processes and tasks

Analysing, validating and presenting the measurements

  • Validate and quality‑check measurement results
  • Review differences in processes pre‑and post‑implementation, highlighting efficiencies or variances
  • Summarise findings clearly and present insights to stakeholders to ensure understanding and alignment

Additional Activities

  • Conduct store visits for measurements, process audits and validation
  • Support continuous improvement in productivity and labour optimisation

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Flexibility to travel across the UK, including occasional overnight stays with notice

Desirable

  • Experience working in a retail environment
  • Project management experience
  • Knowledge or practical experience of work measurement / work study methodologies such as MTM2
  • Background in productivity, industrial engineering, or workforce management
