Investment Technology Business Analyst – Asset Manager – £100,000 base plus bonus
You get real ownership here, not a ticket queue and a manager looking over your shoulder.
This is a smaller asset management firm where technology sits at the heart of everything they do. Most of the systems are built in-house, which means you are working closely with the people who actually built them, understanding them properly, and helping shape where they go next.
You are the link between the investment side and the technology teams. You are gathering requirements, analysing processes, identifying where things can work better, and turning that into something the developers can actually build. You are not just documenting and passing things along. You are involved, you have a voice, and people listen to it.
Because the environment is smaller, you are not one of fifty analysts working on a narrow slice of something. You pick up a wide range of projects across the investment technology landscape, from order management and portfolio systems through to data and reporting. Your progression here is real and visible, not a vague promise buried in an onboarding deck.
The culture is genuinely good. The kind of place where you enjoy coming in, people are collaborative, and learning is built into the day rather than saved for an annual review conversation.
You are coming from a business analysis background with some exposure to financial services or investment management. You understand the investment lifecycle well enough to hold a credible conversation with a portfolio manager. You are comfortable with ambiguity, happy to take initiative, and you want a role where the work actually matters.
This would be a great second or third role in your career if you are ready to step up and take on something with more weight to it. Ready to take on something with real responsibility?
