Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinic Lead Nurse / Manager to take on a pivotal leadership role within a newly established Wellness and Health Screening Clinic.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape and lead a modern, patient-centred service from the outset. You will be responsible for the operational leadership, clinical governance, and day‑to‑day management of the clinic, ensuring the safe delivery of high‑quality care while supporting the clinic’s growth and development.

Working closely with senior leadership, you will implement clinical protocols, optimise workflows, lead and develop staff, and ensure full compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Clinic Operations

  • Oversee daily clinic operations, including scheduling, staffing, and workflow efficiency
  • Manage stock levels, treatment room standards, and hygiene protocols
  • Liaise with suppliers and partners to ensure service continuity
  • Monitor and manage medications and consumables, including international deployments
  • Oversee ordering and delivery processes across all clinic settings

Clinical Governance & Protocols

  • Develop and implement clinical protocols aligned with national guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practice
  • Lead protocol training and implementation
  • Conduct clinical audits, incident reviews, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Establish and manage clinical supervision programmes

Infection Control & Safety

  • Implement and monitor infection control and cleaning schedules
  • Train staff in PPE use, hand hygiene, and waste management
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety, confidentiality, and infection prevention

Clinical Duties

  • Deliver hands‑on patient care, including:
  • Health screening consultations and assessments
  • Venepuncture for diagnostics and IV therapy
  • Administration of IV vitamin infusions and wellness treatments
  • Delivery of travel vaccinations
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation
  • Act as a role model for excellence in patient care

Medication & Equipment Management

  • Establish secure medication storage and stock control systems
  • Implement prescribing and dispensing protocols
  • Procure and maintain diagnostic equipment (e.g., ECG, BP monitors)
  • Ensure availability of clinical consumables and PPE

Leadership & Team Development

  • Support recruitment, induction, and ongoing development of clinic staff
  • Lead and inspire the clinical team to achieve performance goals
  • Conduct supervision and promote continuous professional development
  • Foster a positive, collaborative working culture

Client Experience

  • Act as a key client‑facing representative for the clinic
  • Promote a patient‑first approach and high service standards
  • Manage feedback, concerns, and complaints effectively

Performance & Business Growth

  • Support marketing initiatives to drive bookings and service uptake
  • Identify opportunities for service improvement and operational efficiency
  • Contribute to the strategic growth of the clinic

Person Specification

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN), Band 6 or 7
  • Proven experience in clinical or healthcare management
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Knowledge of clinical governance, infection control, and health & safety
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proficiency in clinical systems and Microsoft Office
  • Experience in wellness, preventative health, or health screening services
  • Familiarity with NHS Scotland or private healthcare regulatory frameworks
