Life at West End Vets
West End Vets is a well-established small animal practice with a friendly, long-serving team of 5 vets, 4 nurses, and 4 receptionists. We pride ourselves on our supportive, collaborative environment and high standards of care. Across our two well‑equipped practices in Edinburgh, Tollcross and Morningside, we offer modern facilities including separate cat and dog wards. Our team includes two certificate holders in surgery, allowing us to provide a broad range of procedures in‑house.
About you
We are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon for either a permanent or fixed‑term contract to join our friendly and supportive teams. You will be:
- Driven by shared passion to provide the best possible care to animals, committed to delivering outstanding care to support our patients and their owners.
- Confident in your clinical skills, able to take on surgical and medical cases and carry out diagnostic investigations with precision.
- Keen to develop, committed to gaining further confidence in clinical skills so you can manage or lead on different case types.
- A natural mentor and team player, enjoying supporting and inspiring all colleagues to help them thrive and providing ongoing support to team members with opportunities for progression.
- Client care comes naturally; you know how to create a positive, reassuring experience that builds trust and long‑lasting relationships.
- As an experienced vet, comfortable handling a varied caseload, offering guidance to the wider team and contributing to shaping clinical standards.
