Job Purpose
The Mobile Electrical Multi‑Skilled Engineer will operate across the City of London and home counties, delivering planned and reactive maintenance on commercial sites.
Remuneration and Working Hours
Salary: £46,000–£51,000 per year, depending on experience. Hours: 8am to 5pm, full‑time, permanent. 1 in 9 call‑out rota with £150 standby payment. Company van and fuel card provided. Location: Mobile throughout London and home counties. Reporting to: Senior Technical Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor mechanical repairs on electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
- Perform electrical fault finding, testing and diagnosis to minimise operational disruption.
- Carry out regular safety inspections and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain professional standards of conduct when interacting with clients and stakeholders, and complete accurate job reports via mobile device after every visit.
- Participate in out‑of‑hours or emergency response arrangements when required.
Qualifications
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
- City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent) in Electrical Inspection and Testing.
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Maintenance.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Minimum three years’ proven experience in a similar role.
- Desirable: Certification in Portable Appliance Testing (PAT); additional training in high‑voltage systems or renewable energy technologies.
