The Role – Overview
You will commission, test, set to work and witness lighting control systems, providing both on‑site and remote aftercare. The role includes client‑facing responsibilities, fault‑finding, system optimisation and ongoing maintenance support across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Testing, commissioning and handover of lighting control systems
- Client and engineer training on‑site
- Routine PPM works and reactive troubleshooting
- Headend installation and IP network configuration
- Technical advice to end users and contractors
- Daily SARs, snag reports and health check reports
- Maintaining accurate backups and site documentation
- Supporting upgrades, remedial works and RMAs
- Adhering to health & safety standards and site compliance
Requirements & Experience
- 18th Edition electrician (preferred)
- Strong DALI and lighting control knowledge
- Valid ECS / CSCS card
- Experience with IP networks, routers and gateways
- Comfortable with site‑based, physical work
- One Saturday per month and occasional out‑of‑hours work
