Landscape Gardener

About the Role

Shift Pattern: You will work 5 days over a 7 day period (sometimes including weekends) and shift patterns will vary between 7am-3pm, 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm or 10-6pm. On occasion, there may be expectation to work late shifts to support with events.

Key Responsibilities

• To work within a team to maintain the soft landscape to a high standard in a theme park environment
• Carry out garden maintenance including mowing, strimming, weeding, pruning and hedge cutting in guest facing areas.
• To carry out planting including seasonal bedding and lawn care to the highest standards.
• To work with and maintain a large range of landscaping machinery including tractors and implements as well as ride on mowers.
• Working in a safe manner at all times, complying with work based risk assessments and COSHH regulations that supports a safety-first culture within the team.
• Maintaining ride area safety, ensuring ride area clearances are maintained and identifying and reporting tree works when required

Key Hiring Criteria

• Applicant must have the right to work in the UK
• A level 2 NVQ in amenity horticulture (or equivalent)
• Proven 5 years of commercial gardening or horticulture experience.
• NPTC PA1 and PA6 qualification in application of pesticides
• Any NPTC qualifications in use of chainsaw beneficial but not essential
• This is a hands‑on physical role and be able to carry out all gardening tasks as well as work in all weathers
