Field Services Engineer

Join GRIDSERVE Network Operations as a Field Service Engineer and deliver independent field engineering across planned maintenance, reactive response, electrical installation, testing, repair, commissioning and asset‑care activities. The role directly supports safety, network availability, repair quality, customer experience and future OMM‑as‑a‑service delivery.

Candidate profile

• Recognised Level 3 electrotechnical qualification and apprenticeship, NVQ, AM2 or equivalent evidence of qualified‑electrician status
• Current wiring‑regulations qualification and recognised inspection/testing qualification or equivalent assessed competence
• Substantial practical experience as a qualified electrician, electrical maintenance engineer or field service engineer
• Structured fault diagnosis across LV AC/DC systems, controls, communications, cooling, metering and auxiliary systems
• Full UK driving licence and ECS Gold Card, JIB grading or equivalent evidence of experience and competence appropriate to the work
• Able to work independently, control site tasks, travel regionally and participate in standby, call‑out or emergency response
• Safe field delivery and operational ownership
• Planned and reactive maintenance
• Electrical installation, inspection, testing and certification
• EV charging infrastructure and associated systems
• Network Control, isolation and HV interfaces
• Commissioning, energisation and operational handover
