Python Automation Engineer – Hardware Systems – Cambridge

A fast-growing semiconductor company is seeking a Python Automation Engineer to develop production-quality software that brings advanced measurement and optimisation algorithms to life on hardware platforms.

Working closely with RF and systems engineers, you’ll help deliver robust Python-based software used to control, tune and validate next-generation technologies.

What you’ll do as a Python Automation Engineer:

• Develop and maintain Python-based software
• Integrate, test and validate software on hardware prototypes and production systems
• Work closely with hardware and systems teams to ensure software-hardware alignment
• Develop hardware interfaces, drivers and engineering tools
• Implement robust software practices
• Diagnose and troubleshoot software and algorithm performance issues

What you’ll bring as a Python Automation Engineer:

• Strong software development experience with Python
• Knowledge of software testing, modular design and version control
• Familiarity with instrument interfaces and communication protocols
