Position Concept

• Have a detailed understanding of electrical infrastructure.
• Responsible for inspection, operation and maintenance of all associated assets within the Data Centre, with a primary focus on electrical asset maintenance (planned, reactive, and corrective).
• Take ownership of any issues related to electrical systems within the facility, aiming to increase reliability through proactive maintenance standards.
• Support the shift teams in the delivery of day‑to‑day operations in line with client processes and procedures.
• Potential to be an HV authorised person for the site and actively contribute to the successful delivery of all critical works.

Key Tasks

• Operate all electrical systems within the Data Centre competently, effectively and efficiently, including isolations/operations.
• Consider business risk and energy use.
• Make recommendations for improvement and provide concise technical reports when required.
• Work closely with shift teams to ensure specialist subcontractor visits are conducted in line with approved SOPs, MOP, PTW, and client change requests.
• Ensure subcontractor worksheets are signed off where necessary, quality of work is inspected and recommendations are communicated to the shift leader.
• Provide engineering relief cover in lieu of annual leave, training or other absences within the engineering shift teams.
• Accurately report all completed work orders, recording any critical spares/stock items used.
• Attend meetings as requested with CBRE management.
• Understand and participate in relevant EOP scenario drills (mock drills).
• Respond to all client requests within SLA.
• Undertake planned, reactive and corrective maintenance tasks as requested.
• Actively participate in QHSE compliance activities, such as hazard/near‑miss reporting and toolbox talks.
• Adhere to client CEM processes and procedures when undertaking all relevant work orders.
• Liaise with the supply chain when ordering M&E components for remedial works.
• Attend nominated training courses identified by CBRE management in line with DCS training matrix.
• Undertake site‑specific technical assessments and skills gap analysis at intervals defined by CBRE/client.
• Work with shift teams ensuring all plant rooms under CBRE control are maintained to required show‑site standards.
• Evaluate and escalate potential risks with assessment of impact, probable causes and mitigation opportunities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of safe systems of work, ensuring compliance with QHSE policy and procedures.

Scope of Services

• Building management system (monitoring of Data Centre).
• Lighting control system.
• CMMS (Archibus).
• Lighting and small power infrastructure maintenance, repair and installation.
• Emergency lighting.
• Other Data Centre related electrical infrastructure.
• As and where required.

Personal Specification

• Relevant electrical experience in maintenance and repairs, preferably within a critical environment.
• Electrical authorised person for HV & LV systems desirable.
• Proactive in achieving operational excellence.
• Good IT and report‑writing skills.
• Ability to work under pressure while remaining calm and delivering services within time constraints.
• Willingness to attend on‑ and off‑site training, including nights away for residential courses.
• Physical fitness.
• High level of initiative.
• Smart, presentable uniformed appearance.
• Ability to comprehend and act on verbal and written instructions.
• Enthusiasm, pro‑activity, diligence and alertness, with willingness to participate in appropriate training schemes.
• Integrity, honesty and punctuality.
