Assembly Technician

My client is seeking an Assembly Technician to join their growing manufacturing team.

This is a hands‑on position working within a production environment, assembling a range of specialist products to quality standards and production schedules.

The successful candidate will become part of a small, supportive team and will have the opportunity to develop their skills within a stable and expanding business.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble products and sub‑assemblies in line with production requirements and work instructions
• Work from engineering drawings, diagrams, and technical documentation
• Ensure products are manufactured to the required quality standards and timescales
• Identify and report any issues with materials, components, or production processes
• Carry out basic wiring, mechanical assembly, and fitting activities
• Use a variety of hand tools and workshop equipment safely and effectively
• Complete production records and documentation accurately
• Support continuous improvement activities and maintain a clean, organised work area
• Follow company procedures relating to quality, safety, and production

The Candidate

• Practical assembly or manufacturing experience
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings or technical documentation
• Experience using hand tools and workshop equipment
• Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Comfortable working to quality standards and production targets
• Basic electrical or wiring experience would be beneficial
• Good organisational and communication skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to learn new skills and undertake training when required

£25,000- £30,000 depending on skills and experience.
