Technical Service Engineer – Aviation

Overview

Arden White Aerospace and Aviation Recruitment are working with a leading Aviation company based near Wokingham in Surrey to recruit a Technical Service Engineer. The Technical Service Engineer is responsible for Engineering, Warranty Management, Consultancy, Sourcing, Guarantee Management and other value stream activities.

This role is a great start for a graduate in Aerospace Engineering to begin a career within the Aviation industry.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and review repair quotations to ensure costs are fair and equitable, including contract enforcement, warranty optimisation and tactical cost reduction/avoidance opportunities.
• Identify opportunities for cost‑of‑ownership reduction, such as alternative placement and special projects.
• Report on saving performance.
• Achieve or exceed contractual customer requirements.
• Work as part of a team in the Value Engineering function and wider Customer Support and Supplier Management teams.
• Identify areas of opportunity in process, customer service and return on investment.
• Review and analyse warranty rejections and quotations, raising an Engineering Request Form.
• Review and analyse rogue units, NFF and defect‑on‑arrival events.

Person Specification

• HNC/HND or a degree in an Aerospace / Aviation Engineering discipline is desirable.
• Strong analytical skills with a focused and methodical approach to managing work.
• Strong team worker who focuses on the success of the team as a whole; excellent interpersonal skills, clear communication and ability to negotiate effectively.
• Confident using own initiative, adept at problem‑solving, willing to learn.
• Able to prioritise and make decisions while balancing results with workload and applying appropriate attention to detail.
• Understanding of information security practices and ability to attain and maintain competency.
