Job Description:

Enjoy a temp-to-perm Gas Engineer role with a company van, fuel card, uniform, and PDA provided. Join a well-established and supportive property maintenance contractor, working across domestic and commercial properties for a large client base.

This is a great opportunity to secure consistent work with the chance to move into a permanent role. You’ll be supported by an experienced office team who understand the trade, with management that has come through the tools themselves.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and breakdown repairs on domestic boilers and central heating systems
  • Completing landlord gas safety inspections and CP12 certificates
  • Servicing and repairing gas appliances, including gas fires, cookers, and range cookers
  • Fault finding and diagnosing heating systems and controls
  • Installing and maintaining heating controls and electro-mechanical valves
  • Servicing and maintaining unvented cylinders
  • Carrying out Y plan and S plan wiring and fault finding
  • Installing and repairing gas and water service pipework
  • Completing general plumbing tasks where required
  • Supporting with multi-trade property maintenance works, including minor repairs, making good, tiling, and carpentry where applicable
  • Completing reports and uploading photographs via a company tablet
  • Travelling to a range of sites across the operating area

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of recent, consistent, full-time PAYE experience
  • Domestic ACS gas qualifications, including CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, and HTR1
  • Current or previous Gas Safe registration
  • A full, valid UK driving licence
  • Their own general and battery-powered tools, maintained to a professional standard
