Marble Talent are working with a growing and well-established building services provider who are looking to add an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to their team.
This is a permanent, full-time position offering excellent long-term career prospects, ongoing training, and the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of commercial sites throughout the Home Counties and surrounding areas, with occasional work in London.
The Role
As a Commercial Gas Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of commercial gas systems and associated mechanical plant equipment. This is a mobile role requiring a proactive engineer who can work independently while delivering a high standard of service to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, servicing and maintenance of commercial gas appliances and systems
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance works
- Fault finding, diagnostics and repairs
- Working on boilers, burners, heating systems and associated plant equipment
- Mechanical PPM tasks across multiple commercial sites
- Supporting mechanical services projects, including pipe fitting and air conditioning installations
- Ensuring all work complies with current gas safety legislation and industry standards
- Completing accurate service reports and documentation
- Providing a professional and customer-focused service
- Working collaboratively with fellow engineers and support teams
- Participation in an optional call-out rota
- Optional weekend overtime opportunities
Requirements
- Valid commercial gas qualifications (eg. CODNCO1, CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1/1A or equivalent)
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent)
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience within a commercial gas engineering role
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Good understanding of health & safety regulations
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Willingness to travel throughout the Home Counties and surrounding regions
- DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
