Field Services Engineer

A leading company in the scientific industry is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their dynamic team, covering the South & Central UK region, including Oxford, Birmingham, Warwick, the Southwest, and South Wales. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be at the forefront of cutting‑edge technology, ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of advanced scientific instrumentation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Conducting installations, servicing, and repairs of complex scientific instrumentation, ensuring optimal performance.
2. Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues at the system, sub‑system, and component levels using diagnostic tools.
3. Reading and interpreting schematics, service manuals, and technical documentation to support maintenance activities.
4. Providing technical support and training to customers, enhancing their understanding and usage of the equipment.

Role Requirements

1. Relevant degree in a scientific or engineering discipline such as Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Optics, or Life Sciences.
2. Proven industry experience in optical systems, lasers, detectors, scanners, and precision mechanics.
3. A working knowledge and practical experience with diagnostic tools, fault‑finding, and troubleshooting.
