SLR has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Drainage Engineer with a track record in the delivery of complex infrastructure/drainage projects. The role will be based in London, Manchester, Bristol, Cardiff, Birmingham or Leeds and will join the busy Transport Engineering Team.
About the role
You will work as part of a design team on the delivery of a wide range of drainage related projects, including Sc104 and Sc278 Drainage Schemes, Drainage Feasibility Studies, Drainage Strategies and Flood Risk Assessments. You will also support business development from new, existing and internal clients, and contribute to the wider Built Environment Disciplines. Design work will involve FLOW and AutoCAD. You may mentor junior engineers and support sector and client leads across the business.
Key responsibilities
- Design, detailed drafting and technical specification preparation for drainage and infrastructure projects.
- Preparation of tender packages and support of the tender evaluation process.
- Assist with project and programme management activities, including commercial support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Contribute to feasibility studies, detailed design and flood risk assessment deliverables.
Qualifications
- Solid track record of delivering UK highways and infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of UK engineering guidance, including hydraulic design standards and processes.
- Experience with Hydraulic Feasibility Studies, Detailed Drainage Strategies, Flood Risk Assessments and Sc104 detailed design.
- Good proficiency in FLOW (or similar) and AutoCAD.
- Achieved or working towards chartership with the Institute of Civil Engineers or equivalent.
- Full, current UK driving licence.
