About the Role

The Academic Registry has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and adaptable administrator to join the Student Records team. In this varied role, you will help enhance the student records service and provide University‑wide regulatory advice on student matters.

Responsibilities

  • Help maintain the accuracy, integrity and effective use of the University’s student record.
  • Work as part of the Student Records team to deliver a high‑quality service at every stage of the student journey.
  • Line‑manage a small operational group within this team, providing day‑to‑day leadership, support and development to ensure work is delivered to a high standard.
  • Take responsibility for complex and sensitive student records casework, applying judgement and interpreting regulations and policies to reach appropriate outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively across the University to contribute to service improvements, support data quality and help resolve complex regulatory queries.

Qualifications

You will be an experienced and adaptable administrator, with a background in Higher or Further Education, or a similar organisation. You will have a strong understanding of records management and proven experience of handling complex or sensitive casework, applying regulations and policies with sound professional judgement.

  • Bring line management or supervisory experience, with the ability to support and develop others.
  • Be confident working with data and systems, with a strong focus on accuracy and data quality.
  • Have excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and appropriately.
  • Be committed to delivering high‑quality, student‑focused services.

You will also be digitally confident, able to use a range of systems and tools, and willing to learn and adopt new ways of working.

Further Information

This role is full time (36.5 hours per week) and open ended. It is a hybrid role, with a minimum of two days a week on campus. During peak periods, such as registration and the start of the academic year, you may be required to work flexibly to support service delivery.
