A leading demolition contractor is looking for a Health & Safety Manager based on multiple sites nationwide. Due to the nature of the project and risk portfolio, you must have demonstrable experience in construction, preferably from an operational background, with experience in the industrial or high-rise background.
Reporting directly to the Head of HSEQ, you will be responsible for all aspects of health and safety in this company and on site.
Responsibilities
- Liaising with project managers and ultimately influencing the safety culture across the site
- Writing risk assessments and method statements
- Controlling associated demolition hazards, such as dust, vibration, and noise control
- Performing site inspections and audits
- Driving the health & safety agenda with site and project teams
Qualifications
- NEBOSH/NCRQ-qualified (ESSENTIAL)
- IT literate and able to write reports
- Able to deliver in-house training where applicable
- A strong character with the ability to build relationships
- Experienced in large-scale, turnkey construction (ESSENTIAL)
