Home Manager | Elderly Care | Bedale, North Yorkshire

Stephen James Consulting is partnering with a growing elderly care provider to recruit an experienced Home Manager for a brand-new, purpose-built 72-bed nursing, residential, and dementia care home in North Yorkshire.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly opened service and play a key role in establishing the home’s reputation, developing the team, and driving occupancy growth. The home provides high-quality, person‑centred care within a premium self‑funding environment and offers the successful candidate the opportunity to make a real impact during the next stage of its journey.

The provider is seeking a commercially aware and visible leader with previous home management and commissioning experience. The successful candidate will be a strong people manager, capable of building positive relationships, creating a positive culture, and delivering excellent operational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strong leadership and direction across all areas of the home
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care and excellent outcomes for residents
  • Drive occupancy, reputation, and overall commercial performance of the service
  • Maintain compliance with CQC regulations and company policies
  • Lead, support, and develop the management and care teams
  • Monitor quality and performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively to achieve operational objectives
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, professionals, and stakeholders

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Home Manager within elderly care services
  • Previous commissioning experience
  • Nursing background essential (active NMC PIN not required)
  • Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management
  • Proven ability to drive occupancy and commercial performance
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent understanding of CQC regulations and quality standards
  • Passion for delivering outstanding care and creating positive outcomes for residents

This role offers a salary of £65,000 per annum plus an occupancy-related bonus, depending on experience.
