Role Overview

As a Senior Executive Assistant, you will offer proactive, highly effective, and confidential support to the Managing Director (MD) of Places Leisure. You will optimise the MD’s productivity by managing diaries, inboxes, meetings, and events, ensuring smooth operations and resolving issues independently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive and confidential support to the MD.
  • Manage diaries, inboxes, and coordinate meetings and events.
  • Anticipate needs, resolve issues independently and maintain smooth day‑to‑day operations.
  • Plan and support business events, site visits, executive engagements and onboarding of new senior leaders.
  • Handle travel, expenses, purchasing and budget tracking on behalf of the MD.
  • Research, collate data, prepare high‑quality reports and presentations, and support board‑level activities.
  • Collaborate with other Executive Assistants to improve processes, adopt new technologies (including Gen‑AI), share best practice and meet key deadlines.

Essential Criteria

  • Significant experience as an Executive Assistant or Personal Assistant to Director‑level stakeholders within a large, complex organisation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams, Co Pilot) and wider digital tools.
  • Demonstrable experience managing complex diaries, inboxes and coordinating meetings independently.
  • Proven experience producing high‑quality reports, presentations and board‑level documentation.
  • Strong track record of handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
  • Ability to create plans and coordinate actions that achieve objectives set out by the MD.
  • Willingness to attend face‑to‑face meetings in central London at least two days each week.
