As a Civic Enforcement Officer, you’ll play a vital role in keeping Stockton‑on‑Tees clean, safe and welcoming for everyone. This is far more than a traditional enforcement role – it’s an opportunity to make a visible and lasting impact on the communities you serve.

You’ll tackle a wide range of community safety and environmental issues: anti‑social behaviour, fly‑tipping, littering, dog fouling, nuisance vehicles, Public Space Protection Order breaches and parking enforcement matters. Each day brings new challenges—from patrols and investigations to gathering evidence for enforcement action and working with partner agencies to resolve complex issues.

You’ll have:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence to deal professionally with challenging situations and conflict
  • Experience within an enforcement, regulatory or community safety environment
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload and work effectively under pressure
  • Strong investigation, evidence‑gathering and report‑writing skills
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions while contributing positively as part of a team
  • A commitment to improving local communities and delivering excellent customer service
  • A full driving licence and willingness to work flexibly when required
