Interim Payroll Manager
Location: Hull
Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 (pro rata)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:30pm
Start Date: 15th July
Contract: Interim (8 weeks initially, with potential for extension)
This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional to provide short-term cover within a busy college environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
- Oversee payroll administration, including statutory deductions and pension contributions.
- Ensure compliance with HMRC legislation and payroll best practice.
- Resolve payroll queries from employees promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and produce relevant reports.
- Work closely with HR and Finance teams to ensure payroll information is up to date.
Requirements
- Have previous experience managing payroll, ideally within an education or public sector setting.
- Have strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and processes.
- Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Have the ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively.
