We are now looking for a Senior People Manager to join our People team for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract behind maternity leave.
The Senior People Manager will provide advice to managers on a range of areas, working collaboratively and with guidance from the Senior People Partner to support on complex case management and projects, supporting the wider people agenda.
We operate in a hybrid environment working 3 days a week from our offices in Kings Cross and 2 days a week remotely.
About the Role
- Acting as an expert, providing advice, support and guidance to managers on investigations, disciplinary and grievance matters, acting as the first line support for case work within the People Team
- Supporting managers, in collaboration with the Senior People Partner and wider HRBP team, to manage capability and performance effectively and consistently.
- Advising on all aspects of employee relations, policy, process and employment law.
About You
- Experience working within, or appreciation of, a busy media organisation
- Experience of working within a unionised environment and the process around that
- Understanding of sensitivities surrounding information going into the public domain
- Experience of stakeholder management and working with challenging stakeholders
- High level of literacy and exceptional attention to detail

Guardian News and Media is proud to be a London Living wage employer. The minimum salary for any full‑time role within the organisation is £30,000 per annum. Salary ranges are dependent on skills and experience.
