Interim Fire Safety Manager

London | 3-6 Month Contract | £400-£600 per day (Inside IR35)

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Fire Safety Manager to join a leading property and real estate organisation, managing fire safety across a large, complex and high‑profile estate in London.

Working as part of the wider Health, Safety, Building Safety and Compliance team, you will play a key role in ensuring fire safety risks are effectively managed, compliance obligations are met, and fire safety standards are maintained across a diverse property portfolio.

This position would suit an experienced Fire Safety professional with a strong understanding of fire risk management within commercial property, mixed‑use developments, large estates, facilities management or real estate environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the management and review of fire risk assessments across the estate.
  • Ensure fire risk assessment actions are appropriately prioritised, tracked and closed out.
  • Provide competent fire safety advice and guidance to operational teams, contractors and stakeholders.
  • Support compliance with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order and associated legislation.
  • Monitor fire safety performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Undertake fire safety inspections, audits and assurance activities.
  • Support the management of fire safety systems and passive fire protection measures.
  • Liaise with external consultants, enforcing authorities and specialist contractors.
  • Work closely with Building Safety, Facilities Management, Property and Compliance teams.
  • Produce reports and updates for senior management and key stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in a Fire Safety Manager, Fire Risk Manager, Fire Safety Advisor or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of fire safety legislation and best practice.
  • Experience managing fire risk assessments and associated remediation programmes.
  • Experience working within commercial property, real estate, facilities management, local authority, housing or complex estate environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience of building safety legislation and regulatory compliance would be advantageous.
