Position: Venue Manager – Southport
Salary: £36,340.20 per annum plus bonus opportunities

About the role
At MERKUR Slots we are passionate about our customers and are looking for a Venue Manager to lead one of our licensed gaming centres in Southport. The role focuses on maximizing sales, maintaining high standards of presentation and service, and leading a team to achieve profitability and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the performance and profitability of a licensed gaming centre.
- Champion company standards and best practice within the venue.
- Deliver marketing, promotional activities and events correctly.
- Maintain physical and personal security, and control cash/assets to minimise risk.
- Provide excellent customer service and build relationships with regular customers.
- Operate in accordance with LCCP and other regulations.
- Develop staff through training, manage performance and disciplinary matters.
- Recruit, train and schedule new team members.
- Monitor and analyse machine income levels; achieve KPIs and audits.
- Ensure cash collections are carried out following company procedures.
- Adhere to all health and safety practices and procedures.
- Manage and promote safeguarding and social responsibility measures.
- Respond promptly to customer feedback and enquiries.
- Maintain high personal presentation and enforce brand dress code.
- Discourage harassment, bullying, victimisation or discrimination of any kind.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience leading a team in retail, hospitality or gambling sector.
- Experience managing within a similar industry, retail or hospitality.
- Experience with management reporting and administration.
- Experience creating staff rosters.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work to budgeted targets and understand budgeting and profit and loss reports.
- Flexibility to work day and night shifts, including 24‑hour operations.
- Strong commercial mindset and ability to maximise sales through marketing.
