Vice President, Leveraged Finance

We are exclusively mandated with a leading global corporate and investment bank on a VP hire within their Leveraged Finance Origination team in London.

This is a well-established, high-performing franchise. The team runs its European leveraged finance business out of London and is growing, looking to add a VP into the Leveraged Corporate strategy.

The role

As a VP you will take genuine ownership across live transactions within deal teams of 2-4 people.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading key sections of credit papers and financial modelling, presenting independently to the Credit Department
• Identifying and structuring opportunities from the existing portfolio – secondary LBOs, recapitalisations and add-ons
• Providing mark-ups on term sheets and financing documentation
• Supporting a High Yield product initiative alongside capital markets colleagues
• Attending client meetings with sponsors and corporates, building VP-level external relationships
• Coaching and quality-checking junior team members on your deal teams

What we are looking for

• Leveraged finance origination experience at an investment bank, with sponsor-backed and/or leveraged corporate transaction exposure
• Strong credit and financial modelling skills, able to lead credit paper sections and hold Q&A with internal credit independently
• Working knowledge of senior facilities agreements, intercreditor agreements and security packages
• Comfortable with execution management through closing and client interaction at VP level
