Operations Manager (Steel Fabrication / Manufacturing) Brighton £35,000-£40,000 + Company Pension + Training + Stable Family Business Are you an Operations Manager, Business Manager, Office Manager or Commercial Coordinator looking for a varied role where you can oversee the day-to-day running of a growing manufacturing business while working closely with senior management to improve operational efficiency? On offer is the opportunity to join a well-established, family-run structural steel fabrication company with an excellent reputation across the UK. Working within a close-knit team, you’ll become a key part of the business, taking ownership of operations, logistics, commercial administration and business support while helping drive the continued success of the company. In this role, you will coordinate business operations across logistics, estimating, sales administration, budgeting and customer communication, acting as the central point between management, suppliers and clients. You’ll help improve business processes, monitor performance, manage reporting and support the smooth day-to-day running of the company. This role would suit an Operations Manager, Business Manager, Office Manager, Commercial Manager, Executive Assistant, Operations Coordinator or General Manager with strong organisational skills looking for a varied management role within a successful engineering and manufacturing business. The Role
- Oversee daily business operations
- Coordinate logistics and transport
- Support estimating and quotations
- Chase estimates and invoices
- Produce reports and budgets
- Manage customer communications
- Support senior management
- Office-based in Brighton
The Person
- Previous operations or management experience
- Strong organisational skills
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills
- Commercially minded and proactive
- Strong communication skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities
- Commutable to Brighton
