Job Description:

As a Senior Care Worker in our care home, you will play a key role in supporting older people to live safely, comfortably and with dignity each day. You will lead by example, ensuring high standards of care while supporting colleagues and contributing to the smooth running of the service.

What your day will look like

  • Supporting residents with personal and intimate care in a respectful and dignified way
  • Acting as a key worker for residents and contributing to care planning
  • Administering and overseeing medication in line with procedures
  • Monitoring residents’ wellbeing and responding to any changes
  • Supporting and guiding colleagues during the shift
  • Ensuring care records and documentation are completed accurately
  • Working alongside health professionals and families
  • Supporting the day to day organisation of the shift

About you

You will bring strong care experience, good judgement and a supportive approach to working with colleagues. You will be confident leading by example while maintaining high standards of person centred care that promote dignity and independence. You will hold an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care. Basic IT skills are required for maintaining records and completing training. You must be a member of the PVG Scheme and registered with the SSSC, or willing to join and register.

Requirements

CrossReach requires that you have a Christian faith and be able to work within and uphold our Christian Ethos. This is an occupational requirement under Part 1 of Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010.
