Location: The Springfields Academy (North Site), Curzon Street, Caine, SN11 ODS
FTE Salary Range: Grade F, Pt 9 – 11, £27,254 – £28,598
Actual Annual Salary: £20,484 – £21,484 (Pro Rata)
Contract Type: Permanent, part time, term time only (39 weeks a year)
Contract Hours: 31.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday
About the role
We are looking for an Autism Support Worker (ASW) to work alongside the teacher to deliver a personalised autism friendly academic and social skills curriculum, as well as to support the families to implement functional skills within the home and community at our Calne site.

Key skills
- Good knowledge and understanding of autism and social communication needs and appropriate strategies to support pupils with this need. E.g. TEACCH
- Knowledge and understanding of social, emotional & mental health needs and cognitive needs that affect children and young people’s development.
- Excellent listening skills
- Ability to build strong, trusting relationships
- Resilient and able to take regular responsibility for agreed learning / activities
- Promote and support inclusion of all pupils in learning and social skills activities
- Use positive and personalised anxiety management strategies
