Salary: £12.71 – £15.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
Contract: Permanent
Shift Pattern: 7am – 10pm | 2 days on, 2 days off
Children’s Support Worker – 3 Bed EBD Home
We are currently recruiting for Children’s Residential Support Workers to join a well-established 3-bed EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties) home in Stevenage.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people by providing consistent, nurturing, and therapeutic support within a structured residential setting.
The Role
As a Children’s Support Worker, you will:
- Provide day‑to‑day care and emotional support to young people
- Support with routines, education, and appointments
- Promote positive behaviour and act as a strong role model
- Contribute to care planning and risk assessments
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Work collaboratively as part of a supportive team
You will play a key role in creating a safe, stable, and empowering environment where young people can thrive.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working within a children’s residential setting is ESSENTIAL- (EBD experience desirable)
- NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People preferred, but not essential
- A resilient, patient, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people
Candidates without NVQ Level 3 will be considered if they have relevant children’s home experience.
