Female Domiciliary Care Worker

Location: Lawrence Weston and Shirehampton area.Contract: Zero-hour contract.Hourly rate: £13.45 per hour plus 35p per mile between care calls.

Driving and Vehicle Requirements

Holding a UK driving licence and access to a car is essential for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with all elements of personal care to support independent living.
  • Helping service users get washed and dressed, preparing meals.
  • Prompting and assisting with taking medication.
  • Performing light household tasks and cleaning.
  • Gardening when required and able.
  • Managing budgeting and finances.
  • Ordering and doing shopping as needed.
  • Organising day trips to the beach.
  • Providing companionship and helping build confidence and independence.

Key Criteria

  • UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to work alternative weekends.
  • Empathy, compassion and caring.
  • Ability to show dignity and respect to service users.
  • Female applicant only due to personal care needs and in accordance with the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1.
