The position is for a full‑time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) for Upper Key Stage 2 (Upper KS2), 38 weeks a year (term time only). Hours are 8:45 AM–3:30 PM, with a 30‑minute lunch. The role includes providing 30 minutes of lunchtime support on an MDA scale.
Responsibilities:
- Provide curriculum support to upper Key Stage 2 students.
- Support pupils in gaining confidence and independence under the direction of the class teacher.
- Assist with lesson planning and delivery where required.
- Use literacy and numeracy strategies to support Year 5 and Year 6 learners.
- Adapt teaching methods to suit different learning environments.
Qualifications and experience:
- Minimum of some school experience.
- Knowledge of the Upper Key Stage 2 curriculum.
- Ability to support pupils with literacy and numeracy.
- Patient, positive and caring attitude.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Sense of humour and dedication to professional development.
