Join Spring Wood Lodge as an Occupational Therapist Assistant and change the lives of women over the age of 18 who have complex emotional and mental health problems associated with significant risk behaviours. Typically they have a diagnosis of personality disorder or a severe mental illness. Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, you will support the service in delivering structured activities, assist in planning individual and group therapeutic interventions, build one‑to‑one rapport with service users to encourage participation and empower recovery, and contribute to the assessment, monitoring, evaluation and modification of structured activities to ensure effectiveness.

Job responsibilities

  • Assisting Occupational Therapists, Nurses and other MDT staff in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individual care plans.
  • Supporting service users to achieve their goals and access appropriate services.
  • Maintaining adequate records, entering details into the service user healthcare records.
  • Delivering structured activities and therapeutic interventions in a multidisciplinary team environment.
