Job Summary
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist to join South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. The post is based at Fieldhead Hospital, Wakefield and offers an excellent Band 6 to 7 progression route. Applicants who already hold a postgraduate diploma and/or certificate in mental health pharmacy may be considered directly at Band 7.

Location & Compensation
Fieldhead Hospital, Ouchthorpe Lane, Wakefield, WF1 3SP, United Kingdom. Permanent, full time, flexible working. Band 6; salary £39,959 to £56,515 per year. Band 6 to 7 development role.

Responsibilities
- Provision of clinical pharmacy services to allocated teams.
- Delivery of high quality, patient-focused pharmaceutical care.
- Providing medicines information and advice to healthcare professionals and patients.
- Active contribution to multidisciplinary teams.
- Participation in clinical audit and quality improvement.
- Contributing to pharmacy team meetings and service development.
- Undertaking postgraduate study as part of the Band 6/7 development pathway.
- Participating in Saturday, Bank Holiday and on-call rotas.
Essential Qualifications
- Band 6 or Band 7.
- Professional manner.
- Adaptable.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Pharmacy.
- GPhC registration as a Pharmacist.
- For Band 6: demonstrable pre-registration training.
- For Band 7: completed pre-registration training and substantial post-registration experience.
- Physical ability to undertake the duties and a satisfactory sickness record over the previous 2 years.
Desirable Qualifications
- Current driving licence and access to a car during the working day.
- Diploma in clinical pharmacy (general, community or psychiatric) or working towards one.
- Membership of CMHP or RPS.
- Supplementary prescribing qualification.
- Specialised knowledge of mental health pharmacy.
- Experience in hospital pharmacy, medicines information, supervision, teaching, mentoring, audit or working with people with mental health problems.
