Work with the administrative team to cover any of the duties expected of the team
To maintain a good rapport/relationship between internal and external staff of the Practice at all times

Job responsibilities
Part time 15 hours per week
Liaising with hospitals/clinics
Dealing with patient referral queries
Scan and file internal and external post onto the patients medical records via DOCMAN
Summarise patients letters onto their medical records
Summarise patients medical records
Work with the administrative team to cover any of the duties expected of the team
Cover annual leave and sickness when required
To maintain a good rapport/relationship between internal and external staff of the Practice at all times
Person Specification
Qualifications
- Good standard of literacy and numeracy
- Typing Skills
- Medical Terminology knowledge/qualification
- Knowledge of EMIS web clinical system or another similar clinical system
- Knowledge of DOCMAN system
- The ability to manage own workload and act independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work without close supervision
- The ability to work to a professional standard
Experience
- Previous experience working as a Medical Secretary
- Experience working in a similar setting and ideally General Practice
