About the Role

Ceredigion County Council Targeted care & Enablement Team are recruiting. This role supports individuals to regain their skills and independence following acute illness or injury. Activities of daily living such as personal care, mobility, meal preparation, medication, etc, are performed in their own homes. You will work in a rolling rota of 4 days on and 4 days off on split shifts of 7‑1 and 4‑8. The service is Occupational Therapists‑led, with client‑centred goals. In addition to routine care you may be required to cover long‑term bridging while waiting to source a package, which will expand your skills and knowledge.

Workload information is provided via an electronic call‑monitoring system. You will be expected to manage your time effectively and keep to the prescribed schedule.

Qualifications

Full driving licence, own car and ability to travel within the county.

All Wales Induction Framework (AWIF) for Health and Social Care must be completed within the first six months of employment so that registration as a Social Care Worker with Social Care Wales can be completed within the mandated timeline.

To hold or achieve within a reasonable timescale:

  • Level 2 QCF in health and social care or equivalent
  • Welsh language level – verbal; basic conversational Welsh (Level3) – reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
