Support Group Helper – Newry Support Group

People with Parkinson’s can become isolated and lose social connections and our group is here to help people stay connected and make friends, access the right information and get the support they need to live the best they can.
You will be helping, alongside the other volunteers, to provide a warm welcome to people attending meetings, provide refreshments and help with any practical tasks – setting out chairs etc.
We meet on the 2nd Monday of the month at St John’s Bosco Club Rooms, Cecil St, Newry from 2:00pm – 4:00pm.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Help set out chairs and tables for meeting
- Welcome people coming to the meeting
- Chat to people who are new to the meetings and make them feel comfortable
- Help serve tea and coffee
- Provide people with information leaflets etc
