1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Garstang (KS2 Experience Essential)

Location: Garstang, Lancashire

The Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil within a primary school setting in Garstang. This role involves working closely with a child in Key Stage 2, providing tailored support to help them access the curriculum and thrive both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs
• Assist in delivering targeted interventions and differentiated learning
• Support the pupil’s emotional regulation and behaviour management
• Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals
• Monitor progress and contribute to reports and reviews
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

Requirements

• Experience working within Key Stage 2 (essential)
• Previous experience supporting children with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties)
• Strong behaviour management skills and a patient, nurturing approach(should be li not nial?)
