Responsibilities
- Implement whole‑school behaviour policies and procedures, providing direct support with managing challenging behaviour.
- Provide targeted interventions for pupils with behavioural difficulties, including one‑to‑one and small group support.
- Liaise with senior leaders, class teachers, and parents regarding pupil behaviour and progress.
- Promote restorative approaches to conflict resolution and foster pupils’ personal and social growth.
- Supervise and support pupils who may be isolated from lessons, ensuring they safely complete the work provided by teaching staff.
- Maintain highly accurate records and reports on behaviour incidents and interventions.
Qualifications
- Successful experience working with children in a school or similar setting.
- Demonstrated range of effective behaviour strategies and confidence in supporting inclusion of pupils with emotional, behavioural, or SEMH needs in a mainstream setting.
- Outstanding communication skills and ability to build respectful, trusting relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- Strong working knowledge of child protection, safeguarding and inclusion policies.
