Responsibilities

• Implement whole‑school behaviour policies and procedures, providing direct support with managing challenging behaviour.
• Provide targeted interventions for pupils with behavioural difficulties, including one‑to‑one and small group support.
• Liaise with senior leaders, class teachers, and parents regarding pupil behaviour and progress.
• Promote restorative approaches to conflict resolution and foster pupils’ personal and social growth.
• Supervise and support pupils who may be isolated from lessons, ensuring they safely complete the work provided by teaching staff.
• Maintain highly accurate records and reports on behaviour incidents and interventions.

Qualifications

• Successful experience working with children in a school or similar setting.
• Demonstrated range of effective behaviour strategies and confidence in supporting inclusion of pupils with emotional, behavioural, or SEMH needs in a mainstream setting.
• Outstanding communication skills and ability to build respectful, trusting relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Strong working knowledge of child protection, safeguarding and inclusion policies.
