Prime Life is looking for caring professionals to join our team as a Full time Day Care Assistant at Springhill Care Home in Accrington. The home caters to 116 residents with a range of physical, age‑related and mental health conditions. This role requires patience, understanding and respect for each resident’s individual abilities. You will work regular shifts between 8pm and 8am, 7 days a week.

Responsibilities of our Full time Day Care Assistant
- Assist residents with personal hygiene and bedtime routines
- Complete routine welfare checks during the night to ensure residents are safe and well
- Support residents during meals and maintain good nutrition and hydration
- Encourage safe mobilisation around the home, using mobility aids and specialist equipment
- Provide friendship and companionship to residents
- Maintain accurate and timely written records and complete documentation
- Work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team, engaging with other care professionals as needed to promote the health and well‑being of residents
- Welcome family members to the home and assist with enquiries
What we’re looking for in our Full time Day Care Assistant
We value a genuine caring nature and a desire to make a real difference for our residents. Prior experience as a Care Assistant or Support worker is desirable but not essential, as full training is provided. Candidates should be patient, understanding and respectful of each resident’s capabilities.
