Complex Care Assistant – Nights
Location: Crewkerne, Somerset
Shift: Night shifts 10:00pm – 08:00am
Hourly pay: £16.01 – £24.02, plus 1 hour paid travel time per shift.
11 hours paid for every shift worked.
About the Client
Our client is a placid and kind‑natured young man living with his family in Crewkerne. Although he is non‑verbal and non‑mobile, he enjoys interaction and communication and has a busy daily routine. He uses a BiPAP machine and experiences seizures. Full specialist training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Providing waking night support and observation.
- Supporting with bedtime and morning routines.
- Assisting with personal care.
- Monitoring and responding to seizures.
- Supporting the safe use of a BiPAP machine.
- Promoting dignity, comfort and wellbeing at all times.
- Building a positive and trusting relationship with the client and family.

Qualifications
- A minimum of six months’ paid care experience.
- A caring, compassionate and reliable nature.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A commitment to delivering outstanding person‑centred care.
- Good professional and personal references.
- A driving licence is advantageous but not essential.
In line with CQC & Care Inspectorate regulations, we require and will undertake enhanced DBS/PVG, right to work, reference and employment history checks in line with Government guidelines for this role and safer recruitment best practice.
