Overview
Protocol Education is recruiting a trainee teaching assistant who is passionate about building positive relationships with children and supporting them in achieving their best. The candidate will work alongside the class teacher to provide 1:1 support to a child with additional needs.
Working days: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm.
Responsibilities
- Be positive and self‑motivated.
- Have a calm and reassuring nature.
- Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff.
- Show willingness to learn and adapt.
- Ensure the pupil can fully participate in class activities and make progress.
- Develop knowledge of the child’s particular needs and seek advice from the SENCo, class teacher and relevant external agencies.
- Provide positive reinforcement and support teamwork.
Experience is desirable but not essential; we welcome candidates with a range of backgrounds.

Additional Information
This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
