Dental Nurse

Part time hours available: up to 30.00 hours per week
Location: Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle (may also work at West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven)
Role overview: Full range of clinical dental nurse duties within the Orthodontics outpatient department, supporting chairside activities and patient care.
Job responsibilities
Provide comprehensive chairside support, procedural assistance, infection control and patient management in orthodontic treatment settings.
Person specification
Qualifications
- NVQ3 or national examination for dental nurses or equivalent
- Current GDC registration
- Certificate in orthodontic nursing or equivalent
- Essential IT skills (EITS) or equivalent
- Relevant development to diploma equivalent
Knowledge and Experience
- Continuing professional development with portfolio
- Specialised orthodontic nursing and treatment
- Equality issues

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organisational skills
- IT skills
- Ability to demonstrate compassionate values and behaviours needed for dignified care
- First level life support and knowledge of dental/medical emergencies

£28,392 to £31,157 a year per annum pro rata
