Join a team that feels like family.

No experience needed. Get trained, get paid, make a difference.

Being a Care Assistant at one of our care homes means turning everyday routines into moments of care and connection. It’s about helping someone feel safe, heard, and at home.

You might help someone get dressed. Make a cup of tea. Or sit beside them when they need company.

The little things you do will mean the world to someone.

If you’re kind, reliable and want to feel part of something real — this could be just the place for you.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • A team that feels like family, with real support and steady hours
  • Get paid to train and build your confidence
  • Earn while you learn with fully funded qualifications
  • Career growth if you want it — we’ll help you take the next step
  • Free hot meals, snacks and drinks on every shift
  • Take paid breaks and get a free uniform throughout your time here

What Your Day Could Look Like

Every shift brings small, meaningful ways to support others.

  • Help residents get ready with care, dignity and calm
  • Share stories, smiles and tea — your presence matters
  • Notice small changes that help keep people safe and well
  • Keep the home clean, calm and welcoming for everyone
  • Work with carers, nurses and families to give great care
  • Assist with medication (if trained) and keep clear records

What We’d Love You to Bring

We’re looking for someone kind, dependable and ready to learn.

  • You’re patient, kind and respectful
  • You’re a steady pair of hands and a good listener
  • You like being part of a team and helping others
  • You show up, stick with it and want to make a difference
  • Care experience or NVQ Level 2 is helpful — but not essential

What Makes Island Healthcare Different

We’re a family-run company, and we treat our staff and residents with the same care we’d want for our own families.

For over 20 years, we’ve been part of life on the Island. We’ve built trust by doing the right things, the right way. That’s why many of our team stay for years: they feel respected and proud of the work they do.

Our homes feel like just that — homes. They’re welcoming, well‑run, and full of people who care.

So if you want to do real work that matters, with people who truly care — we’d love to hear from you.
