About the Role: Paragon Home Healthcare is hiring a live-in care assistant for a friendly and active Irish man with a spinal cord injury. He remains highly independent, spontaneous, and busy. He leads an active lifestyle and seeks a carer to support his daily activities while respecting his independence. The role requires a live-in carer who can assist with moving and handling, daily tasks, socialising, visiting the cinema, gym, and family. The carer must be able to drive and will be responsible for transportation.
Job Details
- Rota: 2-week live-in assignment followed by a 2-week rest period, then a 1-week rest and option to work with another client for 1 week. Eligible carers may join a standby rota from home.
- Pay rate: £139.81 per day.
- Travel allowance: competitive allowance per placement.
- Food allowance: competitive allowance per day, if applicable.
- Location: DA16.
- Driver: Must have a clean driver’s licence and be able to drive the client’s adapted vehicle.
- Pets: Household has one dog.
Live‑In Care Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care, mobility, meal preparation, and daily living activities.
- Provide support with spinal injury care and encourage independence.
- Observe and record the client’s health status and ensure safety and well‑being.
- Arrange transportation for appointments, outings, and travel.
- Maintain client confidentiality.
