Role Overview
£12.85 per hour
Barrow‑In‑Furness, Cumbria
Full‑Time/Part‑Time – 37.5 and 22.5 hours per week on a flexible rota.
You will support adults with mental health needs and learning disabilities to live their best lives. The successful candidate will engage with service users, build trusting therapeutic relationships, and provide support in their homes or other settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit service users in their homes or other settings to provide practical support enabling independent living.
- Offer emotional support in line with individual support plans.
- Assist with daily living tasks such as cooking, attending appointments, managing medication and finances.
- Work independently, using own initiative, and be able to lone work.
Qualifications
- Car driver and car owner (or access to a vehicle) – mileage allowance is paid.
- Ability to work independently and exercise initiative.
- Relevant experience in mental health or community support is desirable.
