About the role

We are recruiting 2 × 24 hour (Days) Level 2 Care and Support Workers to join Hafan y Waun Residential Care Home in Aberystwyth on a permanent basis. Previous experience in a care home is not essential; full training will be provided. The role involves caring for adults in a residential setting and requires kindness, patience, respect and resilience.

  • Providing total care to clients according to daily routine as outlined in care plans
  • Providing emotional support and reassurance to clients, particularly when they need to adjust to change or when family crisis occurs
  • Administering prescribed medication, including controlled drugs, in line with policy and procedure
  • Escorting clients out of the establishment, e.g. leisure trips
  • Completing daily records
  • Undertaking cleaning, laundry and dining room service

Job Description and Person Specification

Additional employment details:

  • Weekend working may be required as part of a normal working week or rota.
  • Saturday pays time and a quarter.
  • Sunday pays time and a half.
