Quality Control (Laboratory Assistant)

Job Overview

As a Quality Control (Laboratory Assistant) based in Ledbury, you will join a busy team within a food manufacturing business. This full‑time, temporary contract pays £15.31 per hour and involves 12‑hour rotating day and night shifts.

Free on‑site parking is offered. You must be available until the end of August, with an immediate start.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine laboratory tests and checks.
• Take samples from production lines.
• Conduct fruit quality checks, including weight and Brix testing.
• Record results accurately using SAP.
• Monitor laboratory stock and supplies.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Support production and quality teams as required.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Good attention to detail.
• Basic IT skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Previous laboratory or quality control experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Must be available to work for the full project duration until the end of August.

Shift Pattern

12‑hour shifts: Day (06:00 – 18:00) and Night (18:00 – 06:00). Days, nights and weekend working required.
