Job Summary
Provide support for people within their own homes and local community. Work may be in a shared tenancy or on a one‑to‑one basis, and successful applicants may be required to work alone.
Key Responsibilities
- Support individuals with personal care needs, medication administration, budgeting, cooking and cleaning.
- Assist with moving and handling tasks, including kneeling on beds and floors and rising without difficulty.
- Work days, back shifts, night shifts and weekend shifts, including sleepovers, as required.

Qualifications
- Willingness to achieve SCGF Level 5 (equivalent to SVQ2) or equivalent for Scottish Social Services Council registration within the first period of registration.
- Communication, organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team.
- Literacy and basic IT skills.
Additional Requirements
- Register with the Scottish Social Services Council within 6 months of taking up employment and complete Post‑Registration Training and Learning (PRTL) during the first registration period.
- Obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland before appointment.
- Complete any additional qualification required to maintain SSSC membership within the specified timeframe.
