Overview

Project Support role in Cancer & Dementia Care, funded for a fixed term. Based in Tyne and Wear with some hybrid/site-based requirements. Part time, 18.5 hours per week. Applications close Monday, July 13, 2026.

Cancer & Dementia Care Link Worker (Palliative Care) – post funded by MacMillan Cancer Care

Contract Type

Fixed Term 24 month contract

Hours

18.5 hours per week (part time). Monday to Friday with some weekend and evening flexibility. Full or part-time applications will be considered.

Location

QE Hospital, Gateshead / Edberts House; some hybrid working.

Salary

£27,311 FTE per annum/pro rata (currently under review).

Benefits

25 days holiday per year, plus statutory holidays pro rata.

About the role

We’re looking for a dedicated Cancer & Dementia Care Link Worker to support people living with life-limiting illness, cancer, and dementia within the Specialist Palliative Care Team.

  • An enhanced DBS is required for this post
